Explore Two Cities.

Two Cities is an eight-week exploration of basic Christianity with an emphasis on practical application.

“But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.”

Hebrews 11:16

Is Christianity different from other religions?

Scripture tells us the difference is so stark that God's kingdom and everything else are warring cities: Babylon and Zion.

In Babylon we find all our failures. Friendships are broken, the poor are oppressed, death and evil reign. It is a tragic city. It is the city of man, the city that is.

In Zion we find all our deepest hopes. Every human is royalty, every king a servant. Death, evil and suffering are no more. It is a festive, gregarious, lavish city, filled to bursting with meaning and culture. It is the city of God, the city to come.

In this life, the people of God live in both cities, as ambassadors from Zion to Babylon. It is therefore critical that they know the difference between them.

And there is a difference: none other than Jesus Christ, the living God.
