Good news changes everything.
“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.”
“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
John 17:17-21
The vision of Christian community we find in Scripture is astonishing. The body of Christ is family, royalty, nothing less than a new humanity. The church of Christ lives and breathes love, truth, service, and sacrifice, the very Spirit of God.
Most of all, God's people recognize that what he has done matters. Evil and death destroyed, forgiveness offered to mankind, the grace of God revealed in the sacrifice of his son — how could these things not matter?
Each week, members of The Line gather in smaller communities spread throughout the city to re-imagine their lives in light of the good news. We ask,
“How do I fire someone in light of God’s grace?”
“How do I code software as service?”
“How do I cook a feast in light of the resurrection?”
The gospel — the good news — changes everything. Together, we are discovering how.
