Alissa Strattan was born in Michigan but after spending time overseas after high school, she moved to Chicago where she studied Teaching English as a Second Language at Moody Bible Institute. Though she did not formally study art then, she began to explore it as she familiarized herself with painting and other forms of art. Alissa paints with oils and acrylics. Her paintings feature bold colors and dream-like landscapes as she draws the line between romanticism and post-modern art in an attempt to bring about the awe found in nature to society today.
